You may also be wondering why bacon shrinks while cooking.
Melting fat and a loss of moisture both play a part in the shrinking of bacon. Your bacon may also shrivel or shrink because of high heat.

Luckily, you can reduce shrinking by running your bacon under cold water. Next, you need to cook it in the oven at 365 degrees Fahrenheit for about 10 minutes, or you can cook your bacon for a little longer to ensure it is extra crispy.
How To Make Bacon In A Pan?
There are two methods of cooking bacon in a pan. Those methods are the cold-pan method and the hot-pan method.
What is the difference between the cold-pan method and hot-pan method? The cold-pan method allows the fat to render, while the hot-pan method does not render the fat. The method you choose is a matter of personal preference.
